Atal Park Karnal

Atal Park, located in Sector 8 of Karnal city in Haryana is spread over an area of 55 acres, which includes a lake spread of 4 acres as well. It has an open-air gym, an exquisite lily pond, a few fountains which illuminate with led lights in the evening and a children’s playground, so it manages to cater to the needs of every age-group. The Park is furnished with anti-skid pathways making it ideal for long strolls along the lake. Atal Park is also famous among the locals as a picnic spot because the greenery of the Park allows one to spend a rejuvenating time, be it with family or friends.

Sita Mai Temple

An ancient temple, situated at Sitamai village near Karnal, has unique characteristics. It is perhaps the only temple of Goddess Sita in India. Kalander Shah's Tomb

Kalander Shah’s Tomb is located at few kilometers from Karnal district. It was constructed by Ghias-ud-din, who was the emperor of Delhi, in the memory of a famous Muslim sage, Bo-Ali-Qualander Shah. The tourists enjoy here a marble made grave located inside the tomb, which is decorated with carved sculptures. There is also a mosque, built by Emperor Alamgir, with a fountain and reservoir at the outside premises of the tomb.

Miran Sahibs Tomb

This tomb stands in the memory of a saint, Syed Mohammad, alias Miran Sahib. As the legend goes, he was responsible for rescuing a Brahmin girl from the clutches of a Raja in a pitched battle. The tomb is situated towards the extreme south of the town.
